Dear Students,
Parents, Guardians, and Well-wishers, Welcome to Shivaji College, Bakapur,
Palshi, Chh. Sambhajinagar — a rural institution deeply rooted in the soil of
Maharashtra and firmly committed to the noble mission of education for all.
Our college was established with a clear and focused vision:
to empower the youth of rural India through quality higher education in Home
Science, Fashion Designing, Science
(Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Physics, Mathematics etc.), and
emerging professional disciplines. In a region where opportunities have often
been limited, we proudly stand as a beacon of hope, transforming lives through
accessible, affordable, and excellence-driven education.
We are especially proud to offer forward-looking and
career-oriented programs such as B.Sc. Home Science and B.A. Fashion Designing,
which open new avenues of creativity, skill development, and entrepreneurship
for our students—particularly empowering young women in rural areas. Our
institution is affiliated with the renowned SNDT Women’s University, one of the
most respected universities in the country, known for its commitment to
academic excellence and women’s education. This affiliation strengthens our academic
foundation and ensures that our students receive education of the highest
standard. For decades, our college and management have remained steadfast in
their dedication to the upliftment of rural students—helping them overcome
socio-economic challenges, discover their hidden potential, and grow into
confident, responsible citizens.
At Shivaji College, we do not merely teach subjects; we
nurture dreams. Our faculty promotes critical thinking, cultural awareness, and
communication skills, while our Science faculty cultivates scientific temper,
